Spot News 1st place. Adem Hadei, Associated Press. A woman takes her dead son into her arms, as she grieves for her six-year-old son, Dhiya Thamer, who was killed when their family car came under fire by unknown gunmen in Baqouba, capital of Iraq's Diyala province, 60 kilometers (35 miles) northeast of Baghdad, Iraq, on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007. The boy's ten-year old brother, Qusay, was injured in the attack as the family returned from enrolling the children in school, where Dhiya was to begin his first year. "Last Touch"

Bush 1 and 2 have been the worst things for this country in the last 30 odd years. Why are we the world police? Look at Canada... they don't give a rats ass about nuthin, and they're still chillin. Crissake. We should get out of this war before it turns into another Vietnam. Too late you say? I agree...

I can't stand seeing things like this. It's really so sad that violence is a way of life in some countries. It makes me feel so lucky with all that I have. It's super fine that I had to put in a new short block in my car and that my turbo is blown cause my kids don't get shot at when I drop them off at daycare.

I know a lot of you like to say f-bush etc. but I see this picture as a reminder to cherish what I have and to take the time to enjoy life instead of throwing blame and drumming up feelings of anger. I'm not trying to defend Bush either, just saying there's a lot to be thankful for.
