I'll pay $20 to the person that breaks these 4 (2 per side) bolts free. I've broken sockets, tried impact wrench, PB blaster, WD 40 and 345ft/lbs. breaker bar to no avail.

Catch: You have to bring me to the hardware store if you break the bolts.

An extra $20 if you help me install the 2 sets of struts/springs afterwards.
I'm in Bloomington and available anytime on Saturday. Can come to your garage if its not too far..

I eat bolts like that for breakfast.
    Throw some heat at them.

That's the only thing I haven't tried yet. Might have to invest in a torch...

Definitely. As far back as I can remember, if it wasn't drilled out heat got it out.

Now I recall myself cutting one of these off, and pressing it out.
    That was a long night.

You can get a torch from sears for less than the $20 you're offering.

Best penetrant is 1/2 ATF 1/2 acetone mixed in an oil can. Used it on my rears once, just let it soak for a while

Fair warning - be aware of the brake line and abs cable and be sure to keep the heat away! Either hold them out of the way or use aluminum foil or something to block some of the heat.

Also, the crappy torches from Wal-Mart are just that...crappy. It's worth buying the slightly nicer version that is at Sears and other places. The nicer torches hold a much stronger flame.

I just had the same issue on my Saabaru, except I got the nuts off but couldn't get the bolts out. Torched it up and they came right out. Talk about a sense of accomplishment after that! :D

So the Mapp torch was the ticket. Heated the nut up for a minute or two and it came off with ease. Thanks guys!
