Long story but right after I bought my used 2011 wrx I was noticing an almost grinding sound at right around 2000 rpms when the car was in 2nd gear and I was decelerating (off the gas, off the clutch) Turns out I had multiple failed bearings in the transmission that are thankfully being replaced by my warranty. I should hopefully be getting it back early next week so I will know if it fixed the problem or not and I will update, but upon doing some research online I found that quite a few people are experiencing similar grinding on deceleration around the same rpm's on brand new cars. I was curious if anyone on here has experienced this with the newer wrx's and if this is a common issue.

I would wait and see what they find when they open it up. Some noise on in-gear decel is normal.

It's already been opened, I was told multiple transmission bearings failed, parts have been ordered.
