Well my vf39 is indefinitely dying and I'm in the market for a replacement. Debating what I should replace it with; 39, 53, ? I enjoyed the 39 overall, looking to sell the car in the next year or so. Let me know what u think and no rotated twin scroll is out of the option :)

That's the plan unless something similar pops up with an offer too good to refuse... currently searching for a vf39

Feel like making more power or the same? Would you be willing to add additional supporting mods if if it means a power bump?

I'm just wondering if this is a "My turbo's dying and I need a cheap fix to get me back to normal." or "Hey, my turbo's dying. This sounds like a great opportunity to do some upgrades and make more power."

    Which is it?

Don't have the cash flow to add supporting mods unfortunately so it's more of a "hey my turbo is dying and I need a cheap fix to get me back to normal." I would open to something close to a 39 though- like a 52 for example. More and more inclined to just pick up a 39 since Nuke informed me I wouldn't need a retune.

heres a list of turbos you can replace the 39 with the vf48 isnt on the list but that is an option. The 52 and 53 are not options unless you want to do a lot of work for nothing.

Thanks for the link. 39 is what I'm looking for but if I had the dough an 18g or even better, 20g is what I'd like to have ideally

... installed a "fresher" vf39 from WillC last week at NF Performance and they discovered that my issue was actually a leak. My vf39 is in seemingly fine working condition so I'll be selling that one if anyone is interested! Thanks again to WillC and NF!
