Hey wondering if anyone knows if there were any changes to the y-pipe cast elbows mounting/fitment from say an 03 TMIC to the new black 06? I cant imagine they would change them but just want to be sure.
    Thanks

The y pipe is totally different on the '06 WRX when compared to the 02-05 ones. It's a completely different tmic.

so cast elbows are the same but a different y-pipe??? does that mean the spacing between the two elbows is larger?

Right, i guess the question is then will an 02-05 wrx y-pipe work with the 06 wrx tmic? If not whats the difference since the casting pipes are the same?

Looks like the pns differ from those years for the y pipe yes, i know i had to do alot of fabbing to get mine to work, radiator hose and whatnot.

ok well if anyone can tell me if the two to one part of the y from the 02-05 fits on the castings thats all i need. the rest is going to have to be modded to work with my setup anyways.

No, it won't work. There's no metal elbows at all on the '06 tmic. I've owned both cars before.

MMM yes scott... your tears taste soooo good....

So while the y-pipe part # is different it appears to be the exact same layout and the distance between the flanges is the same so im gonna give it a shot. thanks for everyones input.
