Seen them around, havent seen much discussion on them...
If my goal is to go stage 2(+) on my 02' wrx, plus bigger injectors and fuel pump (so I can run E-85 someday), plus a custom tune, would a 160F thermostat benefit me over the stock one?
Any drawbacks to using a 160 thermostat?

Anything that keeps me cooler and help with pre-det I'll do it! I DO have the Cruicial Racing 160* thermostat and I love it. It stuck open on me when I forgot to plug in my fans, which is one of its safety features. Only when I swapped shortblocks did I see this so I just pulled apart the two clips and it shut again.

I tell ya that when it was stuck OPEN, driving on COLD NIGHTS the engine temp is on TOP of the C....no HEAT!!! lolz BUT with it shut it's going to be warmer.. hehe

I'm running one. Better get yourself a piece of cardboard to cover your radiator in the winter. Otherwise, you wont get heat from your heater. Otherwise, it keeps the temps very steady on warmer days.
