sorry for the big pics, I will have Karen make the smaller later and the car is dirty in the pics they were the only recent ones I had
like I would be able to do that I got 31 in the rs on a good day. but with 120miles of driving a day a diesel vw would be best for me.
Best looking Subaru ever sold in the US right there (body, coupe, RS package, color)... I'll buy a lottery ticket. If I win, I'll buy it and drop in a overbuilt EJ257 with a PPG 5-speed and turn it into a track queen that looks completely stock
thats seems kind of steep to me. book value says 5250 for clean retail. but i am interested... how about 4500 if you get the t-belt/wp replaced? got cash on hand.
it over book, but try to find a white 2dr 5 spped rs, I spent a year looking for this one. If it dont sell it dont sell, im not hurting for $
You would probably have an easier time selling it if, you know, you WASHED it, maybe took off the ratty mud flaps? Invest in a container of touch up paint? Not that I wouldn't love it as a second car.
If I was home I would wash the car, im on vacation now. But as soon as I get home I will make it shiny
HAHA really....REALLY? Like he said, a 2dr 99+ RS is becoming hard to find in good condition. good luck with the sale. ps. IMO blue book only applies to toyota camries, honda accords ect.... when you have some free time look up the blue book on a toyota supra turbo then go check ebay.
sigh---id hate to agree with the negativity but hes right. and i payed alot more for mine. fewer miles..better shape(till i touched it) and i had it shipped. my point is regardless of the price it will sell. but i was a lil sad to see the recent book value.
well of course there is the rare factor with this car, i mean its a beautiful car. but the way i see it, the money to fix that door, replace the water pump, and timing belt... for a shop to do it would easily cost 2200 at least not to mention the cel. so then i ask myself do i see this car worth 8500 with 114k miles and paint chips all over it... as much as i like the car sadly i do not see it worth that much. and about supras... haha yea they seem like they are way overpriced but they too are rare and to be honest they are built like tits to the face, the tt ones of course.
the only real paint chips are on the ground effects, the cel is a rear 02 sensor wire that broke, im going to put one in next week. but there might be a scratch somewhere so maybe it needs a whole paint job wich a dealer would charge $5000 for so maybe I should just give it away since its not worth anything
If you cannot say something positive about his car he is selling or point him in the direction of someone who wants to buy it GTFO and STFU. seriously!!! You would not want people pooping in your FS threads!!
I just want to say that looking for a GC RS in MN is hard enough to find and buy. I am just glad that I found mine in MN for the right price at the time, it saved me a road trip elsewhere. It's hard enough for someone to give their pride and joy and sell it, give the man some postive feedbacks. The right person will buy the RS. Good Luck, RichWrx.
you guys are taking this the wrong way. like i said previously i love the car and i do have a serious interest in purchasing this car. i was simply saying what i saw based on the given information. i never said anything negative about the car or the person who is listing this car. sorry if i unintentionally came on as an *******. as far as cluttering his fs thread, i apologize. lets not take the internet too seriously and relax. /rant
I bet if you gave that car a bath and dropped it off at MTKA subaru, they'd give you 7k for it. Those things regularly fly off the dealer lots for 10k+. And white 5speed coupe RS = RARE. Want to sell it, try going somewhere other than MNSubaru's For-Sale OffTopic Lowball Land. Put it up on Craigslist, and put an add in AutoTrader. Start it at 7k. I bet it goes fast.
Repairs do not matter. Finding a door is apiece of cake. I could have one, painted, for less than $200. As far as the mechanicals go, that also doesn't matter. Most enthusiasts, who would actually buy this car, are capable enough to do a basic repair like that. Or at least know someone who will do it for a case of beer. So it is a moot point. Chances are, the drivetrain will get tossed anyways. You talk like someone is buying an accord. That is far from the case. How many of these are for sale right now? Very few, if any. Put this car on nabisco, and its gone. I almost bought a car similar to this that had no motor, tranny, rear end, or axles for $4k. Why? It would have been possibly one the rarest Subaru's in the country.
you guys are blowing this out of the water, seriously. maybe im just more of a conservative type then the type who are willing to pay for the rarity of the car. i approached rich with an offer, it was declined and that was that. then all of a sudden you guys come in here saying im a low baller, i act like im buying an accord, talk down on me as if i dont know what im talking about. you act as if you are on a different level as me. i have already apologized for cluttering his thread maybe its time you guys do the same. doesnt look like any of you have any interest in his car but rather just came in here to make a mess of things. if you guys need to purge anymore of the nonsense make a thread in off topic. ill be there.....
Wham bam thank you ma'am, I think I'm soon to own a 2.5rs. You gots PM(s). I think I hit the button 6 times.
I think this car would still sell for $5000 even if you removed the motor and tranny entirely. guys saying you are underpricing it are nuts.
