Very fair price IMO. Pauter x beams I'm assuming? (I don't remember off hand if they made any other types for subaru's)

cp pistons for the sti block/sti head combination are 8.2:1 compression. If you plan to use this block in a "hybrid" setup (this block and wrx heads) your compression ratio with untouched combustion chambers would be more along the lines of 8.7:1

Motor was pulled yesterday, Fobia is going to have Bikerboy look it over. Might possibly have bad rings or a start of a bearing going out. So it will possibly be parted, unless someone wants it complete and have it fixed themselves. Will have more details tonight or tomorrow

Bikerboy took the motor apart and it didnt look good. So Im selling the block halves and pauter rods seperate, 3 rods were good and 1 needs reconditioning. pistons and crank are no good.

talked to pauter today and this is what it costs to recondition a rod

    rebuild (prices are per rod):
    Mag inspect, $7.50
    Recondition big end, $10-25.00
    Recondition small end (labor), $10-20.00
    Bushing, $8.50
New bolt, $16.38 ($8.19 per bolt)

I paid in the area of $800 for the rods. asking $350
