2002 WRX

This is my 3rd WRX and by far the most fun one I've owned. I bought it earlier this winter to get through the worst MN winter in recent history. I believe I am the third owner.

Clean/clear title in hand.

Interior: 8.5/10 (some wear on driver's seat but everything else is actually in great shape)
Exterior: 8/10 (some dings and minor surface rust. Front bumper also came detached on left side after nudging a fresh snow bank)
Mechanical: 8/10 (it's been at stage 2+ for the last 110,000 miles (mostly highway) and has not had any issues. It runs a little rich but I've never detected knock and zero transmission issues)

You have listed that timing belt was done at 185k and driveline fluids but no where do you list how many miles are on the car.

 

Oh, sorry. 189k on the car currently.

Well, I got stood up three times by CL people yesterday (twice by the same person…). I just took the ad down. I'm tired of idiots.

If anyone sends me a referral, I will pay them $200 if the car sells.

 

yep cl people are not worth it, they'll come and think they could take it for a joy ride, but nope, i usually drive it. never will i let them drive it.

Well, I can honestly say I'm glad the car hasn't sold yet.

On my way home tonight second gear started making a not so friendly noise about half a mile from my house. I'm not sure exactly what it is yet, but I would have felt pretty ****ty had someone bought it and within a few hundred miles something catastrophic happened. I'm going to get it checked out obviously and will report back, but new new owner may get to enjoy a freshly rebuilt (or swapped) transmission!

 

Hmmm...interested to hear about the transmission. I may be in the market soon

 

If anyone wants the car as-is for $4,300, I would sell it so I don't have to spend my time getting everything tracked down and sorted out. While it is drivable right now, I probably wouldn't recommend it and risk getting stranded somewhere. Swapping out the trans including labor and parts looks to be about $1,500.

 

Still sitting in my garage. With work being so busy I am finding it hard to take on this project. I would let everything go as is for:

FYI, it does start and run fine, so you would be able to hear/see that.
