Don't know if any of you are interested in autocross, and I did not see a thread with the schedule in my short time browsing here, so I thought I would throw it up. I guess delete it if I overlooked a thread or something. http://forum.mnautox.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3785&highlight=2006+schedule Hope to see some of you guys out there, autocross is a great time! If its your first time coming out to one and you spot me/my mustang, feel free to ask any questions! Nate
someone was trying to get me to ge to valleyfair...who was that? i wanted to get addicted to autox last year but was under t3h knif3
Well, you should come out this year. The valley fair course is actually pretty fun, alot of technical stuff unlike Dakota County or St. Cloud...too bad St. Cloud isnt going to be on the schudule this year... By the way, I like the avatar haha
i think i'm down. i guarantee i'll get addicted after the first event. jake(jnorthwishihadanSTi) is going too.
I hope you and Jake both make it! I will be at both events and I'm sure Shane will be too. Just look for my "sport" wagon and come say hi. Once you autocross you are completely hooked...
Oh you know i'll be there... to KICK YOUR ASS. if anyone's planning on going to VF, Saturday is full, and Sunday only has 30 spots left. REGISTER NOW.
I'm glad they posted it back up. MAC has grown alot in the last few years. Enjoy everyone, I'm sure it will be alot of fun! I'll been waiting for Mac to reposted their calendar backup. I can update this into my post if you guys would like. http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9483
If you guys don't sign up for sunday soon, it will fill up. It's probably going to be full by this weekend. I would recommend that if you have an air tank or compressor to bring it with you as the surface at VF is pretty bad and I find myself making more tire pressure adjustments there than almost anywhere else. I don't miss st cloud at all. Crap pavement, same relative layout that almost demanded a crossover in the middle and dangerously soft shoulders, it was difficult to get wiring to the timing etc... More people run off course there than anywhere else, and other clubs have had car flipping problems there in the past, plus if you worked an early assignment there you had to wake up at 5am just to drive there. It's barely within the Met Council's distance range and I was tiring of that place. The only thing it offered was the occasional course designer let you go really fast on the banked turns, but too often novices showed up dissapointed that there were no 100mph banked turn sections. That always made me roll my eyes a bit.
Meh, I enjoyed St. Cloud much more than VF or DCTC. The DCTC course last year was absolutely ridiculous...especially the final slalom. Ever since that neon went into the fence, there are basically no medium to high speed courses left in Minnesota. I'll probably end up attending many more open track courses that autocrosses this year just for that reason. By the way, I think I took the last spot for May 7th! Suckas!
oh yea!! it started life as a 3AT FWD POS, and will continue (probalby not end :naughty: ) life with an EJ22, Dual-Range FT4WD with center diff lock, and the same adjustable 450/500 coilovers that martin's running. it'll be fun to take down a few wrong wheel drive wannabes in my ugly-ass wagon!
