Tried to post a picture here with taptalk but it says it's dissabled so i'll have to describe the issue:

on both sides of the hood edge when looking through the windsheild i have an area of 3-4 inches long where the paint is completely ground off/chipped away. while driving in rain/slush i always see water bead up in that area and always though it was dirt after the water precipiated out.

checking out more closely it looks like it has been literally ground off. looking around more, there seem to be 3 slats on each side that are supposed to act as some sort of vent/drain holes in the plastic below the windshield, they sometimes get clogged up.

could this be some design issue that air vorteces get formed in those areas and if you have dirt, sand, rocks trapped in there they'll just fly around and grind away the paint?

i have no other idea where this could have come from, anyone else experience this?

Doesn't answer your question but I always clear bra my new cars these days. Learned from my one of my old cars I bought brand new, it looked horrible even with touch up paint.

Both my new cars got clear bra'd. Next new car, same thing
