Just thought I would see if anyone has been thinking about a cruise for this year. I didnt get involved on the forum untill October of 08. Looks like a good time and would love to get together with all of ya'll! So, with that being said, anyone thinking of doing this? I would be more than happy to help with any of the planning. Thanks! Now discuss
i'm down for a Duluth cruise, anyone have any ideas on what we can do? i think that pics on skyline and going to the hotel are not enough....
I will be at school but the perfect itinerary in my opinion would be: Meet at Black Bear Casino, cruise Jay Cooke State Park from Cloquet (badass road) back to Gary New Duluth, head to the freeway and cruise to: Gooseberry falls - http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&safe=off&um=1&q=gooseberry+falls&ndsp=18&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=li From Gooseberry cruise to the Split Rock Lighthouse - http://images.google.com/images?hl=...lighthouse&aq=0&oq=split+rock+&aqi=g8&start=0 and lastly cruise to Palisade head before heading back - http://img3.travelblog.org/Photos/40507/173494/f/1277340-Palisade-Head-0.jpg Palisade head is the furthest out yet is only 60 miles total and is a very scenic drive. From there head back to Duluth to the hotel you all will be staying at and consume large quantites of alcohol.
I am up for one. I didnt make last years, but should be plenty ready for this years. I would also think it would be cool to hit up gooseberry or other scenic north shore area.
This sounds like a lot of fun. Hopefully I will have the date open when this happens. It would be a good excuse to visit my little bro in duluth.
Gooseberry would be very sweet! I think a drive up the shore it a great idea especially with it being fall soon and its very pretty season up here.
yes sounds like a good idea, that drive is fun, My girlfriend has a cabin in Encampment up by Two Harbors, fun place's to eat and take pics
that was a couple years ago.....but yea..... I love Jay cooke, but not in a even slightly largish group. 2-3 is perfect, anything more than 5-6, and I'll pass.
I love you duluth folks but you'll never get me back up there with a subaru group again. Take lots of pics!
I would love to attend a cruise to Duluth if it was more of an organized drive, siteseeing, hangout kinda thing. I don't need to drive to Duluth to party, jump my car etc....
Well, I am all for a cruise... seems like the pictures/videos that I have seen in the past have been full of shinanigans... Not saying that shinanigans cannot be had, but there is time and place I dont really want any thing to do with that aspect of it. But, if you guys are serious, we could deff take a good jaunt up the shore and see whats going on...
I'm new around here but i would be game for a Duluth cruise, sounds like a good opportunity to meet some new scoobie owners
I would be up for a cruise... It would be nice to meet some other owners also, just make it clear when it is all going down!
You have to go through the tunnels going out of Duluth. My brother and i did that in his Mini and it sounded great!! It would be even better with subies.
I'm sorry guys, I will no longer be hosting the mnsubaru duluth cruise. Whoever wants to organize it, by all means go for it! Justin
Tunnel runs are one of our favorite past times up here. I'm sure I'd show up if there was actual cruising and not just **** tons of boozing.
So far, I see interest from Sgrtits Dynapar Warthog Headrush Rich and Karen 2.5rscrazy Chubby Yimmyg983 If you would like to be added to the list, please let me know Im thinking if you guys are serious we could set this up.
I know this is a popular deal. But maybe someone with Cruise experience should plan down here while you guys plan for up there?
Yeah man! Im not really wanting to take this thing on, I was just trying to get it started. Feel free to take the bull by horns and have at... Just getting the ball rolling But if you need any help, lmk.
Me and Kalie (sgrtits) Have been planning it somewhat. I'll get a thread going once i start making calls.
Add me to the list also please. I work 2 weekends per our 6 week shift block. So hopefully I can go along. I'm out of state during mnsc's fall cruise this year. I really desire to take the new to me car on one of these, the Duluth color cruise being my most favorite. You guys ever been on hwy 23? 35 north to the hwy 23 exit around Banning State park. Hwy 23 is hilly, with plenty of twisties. The real fun however kicks in around Fondulac, at the MN WI border. Then hop on Oldenberg Pkway, aka hwy 210 west. That is where **** hits the fan. The roads are the best I've ever experienced in MN.
