I'll give them the craftsmanship. It looks to be professionally done. But the writer for that page nailed it...for 75,000 dollars, there are dozens of actual sports cars that i could buy that come with a convertable option. This just looks horrible. It looks like a PT cruser convertable with a wing on the back.
I give it a fail on all counts. Especially craftsmanship. And ideas. Look at the rear seat, the only people that can sit back there are people with no shoulders.
Good point, and no more flip down seats. Something EVERYONE wanted in an 07 and older sedan. I'm kinda curious to see what supporting they added to it. I'm guessing underneath got some and that roll bar as well. Last thing I'd want is to hit a big bump and have it cave in between the front and rear doors.
You know what, I'll re-iterate what I said about the 75,000 dollar sports cars with convertible options and take it a step further. For 75,000, you could likely buy 2 nice convertible sports cars, matching ones for you and your wife. Hell, that's 2 well equipped 370Z convertibles. Screw an STi convertible. **EDIT** it appears the 370Z convertible starts at 37,500. So, it wouldn't be super equipped, but still...they would beat the pants off a hack-together STi convertible any day of the week.
Notice that there are no pics of the top being up..... because it is even uglier! I wonder if they made this STI for mustang owners.... it looks like a version of the old body style mustang convertable. Nuke can I stop by tonight so we can tune my KIA?
Gross ^^^ after many years, Subaru finally puts frames around the windows. Only to have this freak take them back off. That looks horrible. dislike....
huuuck that was me dry heeving due the wretchedness of this abomination that should have been burned, crushed, melted, and the plans shredded then burnt
I just threw up in my mouth A LOT, and then mourned the loss of a perfectly good STi. Not to mention that it looks just like a PTloser convertible, what was this dude smoking when they thought this one up...BLEH
There are plenty of STI's wasted when their owners wrap them around trees. Everybody's insurance rates prove that. These will probably never leave the show room floor so at least they aren't adding any undue statistics to the rates! heh. And craftmanship is aweful. They didn't even chop the rear doors to meet the body panel. Nasty.
If you lose that rear wing and the center pillar and made it a hard top convertable, I can see it being a lot nicer.
Normally, yes. But there was a repost of this yesterday, so I linked to this thread, and then closed the other one. That's why it's being dug up again.
