20psi at zero MPH must be hard on things. Oh well that ring and pinion was noisy and whiny anyways.

I will Cryotreat the next ring and pinion gearset for sure.

    End

    Crunch goes the weasel, lol.

Its only a ring and pinion. Maybe you can get a case price on them? 8(

    20 psi out of a TD04 is a little different than 20 psi out of a GT37.

Yeah it makes a little bit of torque. Enough to stall a stock wrx torque converter at 4500 RPM.

It should be back on the road before the weekend:biggrin:
For sure by the RS dynoday

Can I ask what type of datalogger that is?

EDIT: Nevermind, nice and easy to see on the HD version of your video! Wow, not a cheap little unit, but pretty nice looking and easier than trying to check on your laptop on the passenger seat.

Maybe I don't give an 18G enough credit.

Of course, the right stall can work wonders on any car.

Won't the converter be too loose for that thing? He's stalling a stock WRX converter up to the flash point if he wants to, lol.

Mister Tony R. made it to about 8 flat without cryo business, IIRC.

Having bugs worked out before hand is good anyways. If bugs exist.

    It's not that funny.

The Funny thing is that the car is already back on the road.

Come on, I haven't even hooked up the transbrake yet. I do want to "test" it but I want to video it from the outside too.

    Maybe Saturday.

Oh, we're all over it. Doing some tuning Saturday morning, plus video. Then Dippy can try out his tranny that evening.

The valve body is nice, apparently. And can be driven nicely if one has a knack for it.

Auto trannys plus a turbo are ftw in a line. Or not in a line if you have control. It honestly costs the same as a driveline conversion.
