solstic gxp/sky redline > Mazdaspeed miata.

the MSM is not a great car. Any supercharged miata is cheaper and better.

Solstice GXP is the one to have, since they make better wheel and tire packages for it, it weighs less and will have better performance options fromt he factory, but it looks like a remington microscreen and the sky looks decent if you take off the cheap plastichrome, but I'd still take the sky.

and tom, you can laugh at it all you want, fact is either will work your car at any racetrack for less money and thats just the way it is.

Yeah, and you get the actuall car for dirt cheap too! Strip that bitch down and have some real fun for real cheap.

I so wanted to do that about 8 months ago, but then had to buy a house instead. Now I want to get a new turboz and **** for the rex. Ah well, some time soon, I WILL have a Miata.

whoops, i must have misread that.

Go get a supercharger for that miata ASAP. You can run miatalink + SC super easy, same as my link in my WRX but better supported. definitely one of the fastest cars you can build for cheap, just don't crash it, they're body bags on wheels safety wise. older miatas and parts are getting actually rarer due to spec miata. Its getting more difficult to get a good deal on a model worth having.

make sure it has the PEP (popular equipment package), is a R (rare) or has a tan top. all of the above means it has the torsen diff. If not, then it can be annoying to figure out which ones have the diff, its relatively random but you definitely don't want one without it unless you;re planning on putting your own diff in.

eh, it's an automatic '91 that used to be my dad's.

I'm not planning to throw a lot (or any) money at it.

For 30K, you can do better than that! I bought my Skyline GT-R 34 cheaper than that. Even though I bought it off Ebay and had to fly to AZ to pick it up and drive it back... but have you actually looked to see how far your 30k goes? It goes further than that!!

Did you honestly expect someone to pick up an R34 for 30k? Seriously, legalized ones in the US cost anywhere from 80-100k from MotorEx (when they still existed) so I have a hard time believing that some dude in Arizona dumped one off for less than half what he probably paid for it.

In fact, if you hop on eBay in the next 50min and go to Ebay Motors/Nissan/Other you'll see a blue R32 with 550hp going for 28k. And that is with a bid on it. The R33 on there, with the built 2.7 motor has 7 days left and it's at 29,100 and will likely go to about twice that.

I smell something...did my dog poop in the house again?
