Why drive so far to see this when you can just head on up to BIR in mid August and watch them there. Yeah you don't get to see them go four wide, but BIR is a record breaking track with runs dipping down in the high 3 sec. range (1000ft drag).
Its a shame that some tracks are getting to be too short, so they have to cut all races down to 1000 ft.
4 seconds?!? Ha. I can do that with my car. If I go 1/4 mile and then subtract 9s.... Anyone ever black out driving those things? The G forces must be over the top. Umm. Are they shrinking?
they are running 1000 ft in a couple a classes to try and get the speeds down and more room to slow down if some thing happens "no brakes chute"
