35 W Bridge collapse

I just saw that on the FOX 9 News...The bridge just collapse along with 100 of cars middle on the rush hour traffic on 35 W.....OMG!!!!! Hope those pple r ok though!!!!!

 

holy crap!!!! I just _JUST_ drove over it before it collasped.... I didn't find out until I got home that this had even happened. I probably drove over just a few minutes before 6.

 

Now fox 9 air sky cam filming on the air....saw some cars bursting into in flames...vehicles were splitted...even school buses....very grpahic images

 

I hope everyone made it home safely today... my thoughts and prayers are going out for the people affected in this, I'm hoping there's no one killed...

 

I can not believe that happened. I sure hope not too many people were hurt but I don't think everyone survived that.

this is terrible, it couldn't have happened at a worse time. The bridge was packed with cars when I went across because of rush hour and the construction, it was bumper to bumper all the way across on both sides. There were a bunch of construction workers on the bridge too, I don't think they were still running the equipment, but I saw a bunch of workers standing and walkign around.

many pedestrian that were not in that scence were swimming and rescuing the victims

 

OMG! I drove over that bridge it last night, too! I truly hope everyone makes it out.

yeah there was even a school bus wit a full load on the bridge at the time also

 

Local news in Dallas just talked about it before going back to programming at 7. Watching the feed on Fox 9 now, it looks absolutely surreal...

 

It is soooo scary to think about how may times many of us or people we know drive over this bridge daily. I don't even want to think about how this is gonna effect the already very large amount of road construction going on around town. (not that it matters at this moment)

 

Wow...my wife just called...they were on there @ 5:30pm com'in home from downtown...I just had a sigh of relief...I hope everyone else there is ok...I heard 50 cars are below and a few big rigs...on fire...

 

crazy stuff....ironically, i was suppose to go to school today and that could've been me on there...good thing i didn't go

 

i just crossed the bridge and it ****ing collapsed......my prayers to anyone in that

 

rephrase...she left work 5:30pm went to her parking ramp and crossed the bridge around 6pm...holy cow...it collapsed like 10 mins. after she crossed it...

 

i hope everyones families are ok....praying for the victims

just awful... i hardly ever drive on that bridge but my family and I drive under it often.

can't believe this happened - I'm sure there are fatalities, i just pray there are only a few

 

on a side note, think of how bad traffic will be in the cities now. it will take several years to finish an investigation, design and build a new bridge. someone's getting fired.

 

cnn has just reported 3 people are dead

I pray that everybody's family members are ok. I drive that bridge every single day and I'm sure glad I didn't stay at work late today.

 

My wife is a nurse at Fairview and they called her to come down. It may take her all night to get there but she gonna try. Doubt she will be able to call but I'll give a first hand account if I hear anything.

 

yea one of my friends works ICU at Fairview, I'm sure I'll hear some stories from him later this week

i was at work when this happened. I really can't believe that it did happen. It's indeed a very sad day for many. Wish the best of luck to those in the accident.

I have a friend that just got off work from Henipin*SP* and they called him right back in

 

lots of road closer at the U of M where I live. I was just at the scene.

 

I stopped taking that bridge to/from work because of the construction and how bad the traffic was. Like most of you I've probably crossed that bridge hundreds of times. My wife called me at 6:20 to make sure I wasn't there.

My prayers for the people caught up in this and the people down there trying to save them.

Yeah, I was looking at an aerial photo, it does look a lot different construction style than the cedar ave bridge next to it.

That's weird, Google Maps shows that as the Cedar Ave bridge, I've never ever heard it called that. It's the 10th Ave bridge.

 

huh, yeah, that's what local.live.com shows too. I just wrote cedar ave since that's what I read on the map.
