420000 Miles!

    My buddy from Colorado sent me a snap shot of his odometer. Wow!:)

    This is a 2002 Outback sport...and yes, he drives a lot!

    WOW! thats alot of miles. I am guessing thats one of the highest mileage 2.5ls out there. I know the 2.2ls can last up to and over 1,000,000 but I have never heard of a 2.5l going over 250k. cool beans. Is he going to keep it going?

    he actually just replaced the motor at 400000 or so. :)

    original 5 spd tranny though.

    That's around 190 miles a day, every day since he got it. Wow.

    Bank Courier. Goes from Breckenridge to Vail/Beaver Creek to Denver and back to Breckenridge 4 days per week:eek4:

    I hope he likes driving. How does he not have a whole mess a speedin tickets driving the same route that often? I know I'd time myself after awhile...

    I don't think that car at that altitude is capable of exceeding the speed limit.

    I noticed that too;)

    Yeah, I-70 is two to three lanes wide and smooth. There's plenty of chances to speed. when i lived out there I had a POS escort wagon...and even that thing could hit 100+ on the 70+ mile down hill to denver:biggrin:

    sppeding tickets, i think he only has one or two. But He's totalled a Legacy GT, 1999 Outback sport, and a work van...all by hitting deer or caribou...the caribou accident was NOT pretty
