One of these things is not like the other... check out the pix. I just got these in the mail today from a guy on NASIOC. I got a killer deal on them, but upon close inspection it looks like one of them is missing a part (seller didn't say anything about this). Is it just missing an end cap, or is there more wrong with it? Is this an easy & cheap part to find / replace? I have no idea. I want to be sure before I open up a can of whoop-arse. :ugh:

This is going to sound insulting, but it's not meant to be. Did you check the packaging/box/area around where you opened the box? I would assume so, but sometimes people just forget crap like that. I would assume that piece is there for a reason, like proper fuel atomization, so I wouldn't use that injector without it.

Yup, checked it. No, not insulting. That would have been my first suggestion, too. Definitely don't plan on using them without the part. I guess I just need to know where to get a cap like that / how to install it properly. Anyone know?

it looks like someone did the injector mod on it..if u run it at the stock injector setting with the other 3 with caps on them still it will run weird. to my knowlage you cant replace that cap as it is welded onto the injector. how ever you can remove the other 3 caps and get a larger fuel pump say a walbro and run them at a higher cc. i have my stockers running at 800cc

Hmmm... interesting. I do have a Walbro that I plan to use with these. That makes me curious to know why this guy modded one, but not the other three... is it a difficult mod once the injectors are off the car, or is it just a dremel-grind special?

well u can do it with a dremel just got to be careful. just dremel around the small weld and it will pop the cap off. i did it to mine. not sure why he would only do one.

Yeah, looks like someone modded that injector. People frequently do this with stock injectors to get them to flow more (typically in the 800 range).

Assuming that's the case, you're 100% NOT going to be able to run that one modded injector with the other 3 550's.

Those are the light blue 440's, with one modded lol
If you want all of them modded, PM me and I can set you up.
All will flow around 830cc-850cc (sometimes a bit more)
