60 - 100 acceleration times

Out of curiosity, what would acceleration times from 60 - 100 be for a wrx and sti. Not the useless/crap top gear times that mags do, but real world get in the best gear and pass someone. Mind you, I know these times would be gathered in a safe setting. Anyone know what the spt mods do to the times for an sti?

 

You could get pretty good estimates of these times by looking at 1/4 mile timeslips.

SPT mods do just about nothing (maybe 20 Hp). If you want to mod an STI- get an accessport and a real TBE.

 

spt stuff wont give you any noticeable increase pretty much anywhere, except by having your intake now more prone to heat soaking.

 

an spt catback would help, but you can spend your money better somewhere else

Look at a real TBE and start with a Cobb AP before a Protune (in case you get "The Sickness").

 

I'm still amazed by how many people think this. The catback is fine, *might* help if you were tuned for it. The intake is a pile. In the end the "power pack" netted me -20HP (just slapping it on per the instructions, no tuning).

 

Not sure if you're still interested, but here's a pull I did a while ago in 3rd gear. I only hit 90, but that's all I felt safe doing.

60-100 in my car is like, well, picture the scene in Star Wars when the Millinium Falcon hits hyper space...lol

 

Yeah, I know what's your talking about....But you're referring to the scene when the millenium falcon breaks down and can't jump to hyper speed:laugh:

my car has the same effect only its 0-60 and then all the way until you lift you foot off the pedal on the right side.

 

my suby was fast from 0-60, then seemed to be a dog from 60-up. That's why i bought the cobra, Uber-fast Frum Rolls.
