Best gas I've found around here is Amoco/BP 92.

Is there something wrong with Holiday we should know about?

    Holiday sucks IMO.

Why do you want higher octane fuel? To get more timing. I get better timing off of Amoco 92 than Holiday 93. Plus, my car runs like crap on Holiday.. rough idle at startup.

I've had the best luck with Amoco/BP 92 from busy stations.

Hmmm. I have actually found it to be the opposite. The holiday in wayazta, right next to where I live has fine gas I think. I have almost always gotten there 93, sometimes 91, and have had a normal idle ever since the first day I bought my car. Could just be the gas stations location or I am lucky in atleast one aspect of my car. I have also always herd that BP has some of the crappiest gas but the still regular Amocos got good gas. Best gas though I have ever used, while on a road trip, was Shell. My car ran great on that stuff

I usually use Holiday 93. I thought I would be ok using non-oxy 92 since they had it out at MAM, but I got knock right away. I haven't had knock on 93 on whatever track I've been on. YMMV

Interesting fact, all gas comes from the same place, then companies put in their own additives.

The BPs have the same gas as the Amocos. Look at the pump, it even says Amoco fuels.

Do you have means of logging timing and pull back per cylinder? I'd log with a full tank of Holiday 93, then again on a full tank of amoco 92. Make sure you go to busy stations for each. Let us know what you find :)

Yeah, either way MN gas is substandard compared to other states(California Excepted). Ask Zola how much fun he's had dealing with dyno'ing in another state and coming back to crappy gas.

Also remember, that anything that is good for the planet (holiday blue planet gas) is bad for performance. I run sa 92 in my car and don't have any problems. The other thing to remember is how much timing are you running?? There are lots of variables to the gas thing, and it is all a matter of how close to the edge you are tuned. I can tell ya that running a stock cobb map is a VERY safe map. I know that TXS utec stage maps run about 9.8-10.0 at wot, and they make the end user lean it out from there.
