hey guys i crashed my car laste saterday and am looking at my frist subaru !! im currently looking at a 97 impreza wagon 2.2L for around $3400.00 woundering what i should look for when driving and inspecting. common thing st that would and will go wrong/out? so any info would help thank you for your time ! :laugh:
oil leaks, tranny noise, start it when cold and listen for piston slap. welcome! EDIT: i see its a 2.2, just look for oil leaks
the head gasket problem with the subz are usually in all subz or in a select few ? as in oil leaks are we talking about oil pan or seals ?
oil pan wont leak, 2.2s dont have h/g problems, the leaks will come from the oil pump or valve cover gaskets, which isnt a big deal, and is an easy job
