    Welcome Dao,

Depend on how much you want to spend. You can do a full WRX or STi swap.

Like the boys said you can do either STI or WRX. I would advise you to not go off half cocked and just start buying stuff. There are some very subi smart people here and we can help you. But in turn you need to listen.

Ben has a great connection for wrx motors as a full swap. But be aware there is alote of wiring to do!

Welcome to the boards. there is more you can do then just a wrx/sti swap. you can always do just a bigger N/A engine (turbo later}:)) like a 2.2 or a 2.5, and if really wanna go try the 3.0 or 3.3 (they will fit in there, but its tight) just be prepared to spend alot of time and money on this project. engines arent cheap, and wiring will take many long hours. (of course there are always the unexpected problems that emerge)

Hey there Dao, finally I see you posting. lol

I think a WRX swap is just perfect for you. You must first save up some $$, you know. Like Matt said, the wiring would take some time, but we'll first get that done before doing the swap so your car can still be up and running while we're sorting out wires.....that is when you get the engine and wire harness+ECU.

BTW, you still need bigger wheels! IMO, get some better all-seasons or if you want to spend a little then some Falken Azenis Sport in the spring for your 14's. This way you can save up some for the 'better' wheels that you want. I'm getting the NEW Falken RT-615 this spring in replace of my all seasons.

Yea, if you want to do a wrx swap i can get a full wrx drivetrain for you, see the FS thread for info and some pics. personally i think it would be sweet to have an old GF wagon with a swap.

But yea there is a lot of wiring to do so if you are not comfortable with it i would recommend finding someone who is.

let me know if you are interested or have any questions.

    thanks

    Ben

Does anyone here have any experience rewiring a Suby? I would not be concerned about doing it if there were clear diagrams available. What is the procedure? I have spent countless years installing stereo equipment, working on my own cars, oh yeah, and that pesky EE degree along with the hands-on work associated with that, so think I am qualified. If there were a clear diagram indicating which wire (and color code) goes in each harness, I think it would be relatively easy, although time consuming. Anyone? Bueller?
