about wiring....??....

    well..im thinking about getting this legacy turbo engine(the whole car) and swapping it into my 93 wagon L...well...how difficult is the wiring and how long of a swap? well i just want to know because i think it'll be the cheapest swap...well thanks to who ever helps..

    The swap can be done easily but I'm no good in the wiring department also. From what i've read, the dropping in the engine is no problem. everything just bolts right on. Wiring the whole car you would have to take out all the wirings in your car and put in the ones from the legacy turbo. It can take days to weeks to months to finish the wiring.


    also search this section of this forum. im kinda feeling lazy now so you'll have to do some research in that section.

    I've helped Archemitis do a few motor swaps now. 2 required rewiring for totally different EFI systems. Took him about a week just on wiring. It's possible but I wouldnt attempt it unless you have a VERY strong history of working on engines and know how both engines work.

    go talk to bret at morrie's subaru in BP, he has survice manuals of the diagram he can copy for you.
