I updated my accessport 2.0 to the new software for all the new features and now it wont install back into my car. I really didnt need to uninstall it but i didnt think it would be a big deal to unmarrie it and then just reinstall it after the update. The problem i have now is that when i got to reinstall the accessport i get an error code saying that it cant read my ecu because the cable isnt in right or the software is wrong. Anyone have any ideas on what i might need to do? Worst comes to worst im just going to send it into cobb but i would rather have this taken care of without using that option.

Well it appears i have found a problem with the new firmware update for the accessPort 2.0. Apparently the firmware cannot properly connect via my obd2 port with the plug that i have. (This is what the tech support at Cobb told me five minuets ago) The lame part about it is that they dont know when they will be able to fix it. Just a heads up to anyone with the 2.0L Accessport 2.0, if its updated do not uninstall from your car when you update because you may not be able to reinstall. Im just lucky i didnt go to stage 2 last summer or i would be **** out of luck at this point.

Aren't you suppose to completely unmarry it before the update?

The new firmware doesnt require you to if you have firmware 1.0.0.3 or newer.

is the problem with the plug on the car, or the plug on the AP? Just wondering if maybe someone else's AP plug would work. And why would they have an upgrade that makes the thing not work?... that's whacked!

Its my plug as far as i know. Thats what the tech guy told me on the phone. "if its going to take a long time for the programers to come out with a new firmware for you then we will just have to get you a new pug" was what he said to me. The thing is is that on their web site they just put up a new disclaimer about the "dongle" (what ever the hell that is). When i was talking to the tech guy he specifically asked what mine was and it matches up with the one that they posted on the site. So either my "dongle" is bad or its my plug like the guy said. As far as i know the dongle is the plug so mabye thats the case. Can anyone clear up what dongle is?
