I'm looking to buy a 2000 legacy gt wagon, what should i look for that would show signs of neglect or abuse?. One thing i notice and was concerned about, was the tires were all worn differently, and looked choppy and bald in the inside of the tires, but the car still ran great and did'nt notice any shaking while driving at high speeds, and the price seemed fair as well ($4495.00) with 150 plus miles on it. Any help and advice would be great.

get underneath and look for leaky headgaskets oil or coolant, piston slap, other then that they are a pretty solid vehicle

make sure you start the car when its cold, it will knock a little bit till it warms up, some is normal, and if it goes away when its warm its fine, none is optimal
