Just saw today that Aerosim has officially released their widebody kit for the GM chassis (93-01 coupe). This kit has been in "development" since before I got a subaru, its so good to see it finally done. $3500 for a carbon fiber version (fender weighs in at 2.5lbs). It is modeled off of the 99 WRC car so it has higher cut wheel arches and is wider than a 22b kit. 275 tires are possible (9.5" wheels). Pretty sure this is a monumental day in subaru modding history. also note the time of the OP. 5:55AM gotta love it. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1441930
OMG, if i had a coupe i would so be spending for the CF WB, now to get them to make one for a wagon...
Aren't the quarters pretty much the same from the coupe to the wagon? You would really only have to buy different side skirts. Front and rear parts should be the same or pretty close. I bet we could fab this to fit your car in a weekend with a little fiberglass and bondo. :woot:
^ The quarters are smaller on sedans and wagons since they have the rear doors. pulled this from the thread over on rs25, should apply to a wagon: "a skilled bodyman could keep your rear sedan doors functional. I'm sure I could do it if I had enough time. the exterior handles would prolly need to be shaved, but cutting and fabricating an inner doorjamb could be done. if you have the jack to pay for the labor.... that is"
oh i already know how i COULD mod the coupe stuff to fit a wagon... the only question is do i want to keep the wagon... lol
