    Since I will be putting on new rims and tires, plus all the other suspension mods I have done already. I need an alignment. I am looking for some general advice on what I should do and who does custom alignments. MY02 WRX

    My suspension bits so far;

    Prodrive springs
    Perrin F/R sway bars

    I have been trying to read up on nabisco but searching for a 02 with my mods ir really tedious.

    So for a questimate of what I should do, I came up with this;

    Front camber: -1.5
    Rear camber: -1.2
    Toe: 0 all around

    I think I read that F camber needs to be a tad higher than Rear? Or do I have it the other way around???

    Esperunit, your pretty knowledgable at this! Help!;)

    If you are looking for the best handling and tire wear go with as much negative front camber as possible, around -1 rear camber and 0 toe. If you are willing to compromise tire wear go with 1/16 toe out in the front.

    Well, I'd like to go as much - camber and still have zero toe. I figure -1.5 and 0 toe is probably being optimistic, especially front. But hey it doesn't hurt to hope!

    I'm not much of a racer, but I do like my corners!

    First off, you will HAVE to get camber bolts for the rear if you want those adjusted.

    Second, the most negative front camber I could get with Prodrive springs and the stock camber bolts (and still have 0 cross camber) was -1.3 degrees with 0 toe.

    Yeah, thats why I said -1.5 was being a little optomistic.

    Camber bolts... Crap, one more thing to order:(

    How about these?

    or should I go with whitelines? But they're $25 more.

    1.4 is possible on somelucky cars in front, but I wouldn't count on it. And you might be able to get one strut there but not the other one.

    The whiteline camber bolts have a higher range. They're not worth paying for in back since you will never need that much rear camber. In front they can get you up to 1.5 no problem, but probably not to -2.

    I would go zero toe all around on a street car. no point in dragging the tires around sideways.

    ok.. for base specs those aren't bad.

    1. The front camber is looking good for a street ride. More will be better, but 1.5 is a pretty good start. rightnow, i'm running (with Camber plates) 1.8 and i feel i should have more.

    2. Toe= Right on the money. the biggest eater of tires isn't camber but toe. 0 toe is where you want to have it for a street driven car.

    3. Rear camber... WOAH... ease up there buddy. 1.2 in the rear is a bit too much. Keep in mind the subaru's natural tendencey to understeer, and you'll understand why you shouldn't run that much neg camber in the rear. i had mine set as close to .5 as possible and i'm more than happy with it. it lets go only when i push it REAL hard. for the rears, i'd stay close to .5, at most 1.0 neg camber if you do a lot of road racing/high speed sweepers.

    The other reason i keep my camber low in the rear is because i kind of think of the rear as a "safe haven" for tire wear. i know my fronts are going to wear out a bit faster due to the added camber and the weight distribution of the car, so the rear is set conservitivley to kind of even out the tire wear when i rotate them.

    Honestly, i wouldn't worry about adding camber bolts to the back unless you think you'll need added camber to clear the fender. whatever it winds up at in the back should be fine.

    The point of adding camber bolts to the rear is so that you can dial OUT a bunch of the negative camber (ie, add positive camber). The first alignment I had was with the regular rear bolts. The camber was something like -0.9L/-1.8R and couldn't be adjusted. I got some bolts from Oakos.com to even out the crappy cross-camber from the stock setup. IIRC, the factory specs for the rear is -1.33 degrees.

    Yup, that's correct.

    I could get -1.4 on one side, but only -1.3 on the other. Thus, I had both set at -1.3.
