I have an Alpine radio that I took out of my old car and want to put in the RS. The kid working best buy told me there isnt a mount kit and it should fit where the stock one was no sweat. Problem is I have the radio over cd player set up so taking that out and puting the Alpine in would leave an empty space. How did you guys put your radio in and could I get pictures? I will take a pic of mine tomorrow in the light.
I have a pocket you could put in there. It is from a 2002 Subaru but should fit just fine. Give it to you for $15. This would give you a little extra storage. I think it will fit 4 CD cases but not sure. If you look on any Subaru with a single din radio you will see exactly what I have.
Any single din pocket should work or fit, I actually grabber a forester posket from a dealer, teh paint prettymuch matchs and I have a flip down pocket door, that I think is pretty nice.
Mine does not have the door on it. That is what I would want in my car. The door is a really nice feature so you might look into getting one of those. The one I have came out of my wife's car when I moved my 6 disc to hers and her single disc to mine so I could put a computer in my car so it is just something I have laying around. I have no real need to sell it but if someone wanted it I would part with it.
$30 or so shipped, probably about the same through brooklyn park or minnetonka subaru with the 20% mnsubaru discount ?(just tell them you are from mnsubaru) I also mounted my deck on the bottom and the pocket on the top, though it's much easier to mount it the other way around, I just wanted the pocket up top, so I could change cds and such with something in the drink holder.
