Hello everyone. I am new to the group and very excited to have found you. I am on my second WRX. My first was a 2002 Blue bugeye wagon, which was destroyed last new years eve when a drunk decided she didn't believe in stop signs. My current is a black 2005 WRX wagon. I haven't done much yet, but I don't think I can wait much longer. I am coming off several Audi's, the last a chiped, lowered, exhausted, tinted A4 1.8t quattro wagon. I must say, I would pick my WRX over the Audi's anyday of the week. Just so you know, I was a certified Audi expert tech for about 9 years, Land Rover, Mazda and a few others before that. Now I'm a personal trainer and college instructor. I have skills in a few different arena's, so, if I can be of assistance in some way to any of you let me know. I look forward to meeting you all.
Did you trade your a4 into morries tonka subaru back in the day? was it black? and an auto? I remember one that got traded in was owned by an audi mechanic, it was a very attractive car, and thats coming from an anti audi-guy.
Yes, that was my car at Morries. They actully gave me quite a bit more than I expected. They said the sales manager had plans to buy it, but I don't know if it happened. As for my current car, I have an upper strut bar already, planning on lower bars, exhaust(somewhat reserved), air intake, mapping, tinting, and I was just lucky enough to pick up a set of 18'' zigens the other day. Thats actually how I found out about the club. I would like to add, I recently saw the youtube vid of Ken Block's 530Hp Imprezza test drive and that has to be one of the coolest things I seen in quite some time.
This means that you're in better shape and a lot smarter than most of us. Welcome to the forum! I'm on the west side as well so hopefully I'll see you around. -ted
Welcome! Oh, and I'm sure a few people will chime in (or only me) in saying that you can probably wait a bit for the air intake, as on the subies it really doesn't do much (except bad naughty things) if not tuned for. You could invest in a catless uppipe instead! The stock box is usually good for ~300hp depending. Enjoy! Wagons FTW.
