I used to run long distance. Several years ago I was training for the Twin Cities marathon. Then I sprained my ankle about a month before and injured my alkalies tendon too. Was very depressing after the 2 years or so of training I had gone through. It got to the point though where I actually craved running, before the injury. I had to run every day just to feel good, was kind of adicting actually. I have never been able to run on a treadmill so gawdawful boring.

I am currently working on a training calander though for the St. Paul fire test coming up in June. In a month or so when the snow starts to melt and I'm in better shape I would definitely go running with you.

Yes, last year I ran my first 5k, 10k, and marathon. Also did a triathlon (my main focus this year).

Finding the time to train and staying injury free. The latter I failed at the end of the year. Hip issue started to surface before the marathon and after it I did not take enough time off. It was a great time.

yeah I'll be there for the 1/2 provided I don't roll in a car beforehand...*cough* Carl! lol

Last year I got back into running until I messed up my old man ribblets. I'm supposed to start training again next week. Once I get into the groove I can go forever...or at least 13 miles
