Anyone care to share their experience with the AP 2.0? Stage 1 and/or Stage 2 performance? Pros and cons etc...?
cost effective pre-map selectors, tunable up to 10 Maps change on the fly, better overall performance from stock and in some cases better MPG rating, Monitor vehicle sensor data and display, Read/Clear engine trouble codes, Measure 0-60 and ¼ mile times, estimate HP and TQ, Drag race simulation with reaction time, etc...
AP is AP when it comes to performance stages, whether it's AP v.1 or v.2. the v.2 comes with a few more bells and whistles and easier to read display. the power differences between stock ecu mapping and cobb ecu mapping is definitely noticeable. stage 1- cleaner power thru rpm band stage 2- same, but with more punch another option....ask Wall of TV's...he's done a number of maps with openecu...which is totally different..fyi
Not all of these features are enabled YET, and I stress yet. The list of soon-to-be implemented features are: Measure 0-60 and ¼ mile times, estimate HP and TQ, and Drag race simulation with reaction time.
Well I hope they aren't as "soon to be implemented" as Cobb's TMIC that was supposed to come out two years ago.
Right now the AP 2.0 is essentially a harder to deal with AP 1.0 with a fancy screen. When the newer firmwares and actual ProTuner software for it come out then it might be a step up from the older ones.
