If I buy an AP for my 02 WRX stage 2 and lets say 2 years down the road I buy an STi, would that same AP work as long as I unmarry it from my 02 and upgrade the maps on it? Thanks Bill
No prob. But atleast the resale value is hgh so hopefully in 2 years you could still sell it for ~$5-400 and buy a STI AP.
another question along the same lines.. If I buy an AP stage one and I make my car stage 2 what needs to be done? Just up load stage 2 map onto my ap then my car? Just trying to get a feel to how these babys work. Hopfully by september I will be stage 2...
TBE...But since u a Catback, just get a DP. If you want to push it further, upgrade the stock up-pipe.

That's what you need for a Stage 2 setup...And yes, you can DL the stage 2 and then into your car, and yes it is that easy...The AP's I receive and sell will have stage 1 and 2 pre-loaded already as well. PM me whenever your ready...depending on when you buy the AP's maybe on backorder... Stage 1 (Bone Stock) Stage 2 (TBE) Hope this helps...
Yeah, the AP's come preloaded with 4 basemaps and 6 real time maps. The initial base map is what you upload the first time and takes a while. The real time maps take about 10-15 seconds to upload and don't hurt the flash memory of the ECU. So, you could install the Stage 1 basemap right away and then when you finish the TBE you could flash the Stage 2 real time map. Make it a little easier on yourself.
Depending on where you buy your APs. I know gruppe-S doesn't come mapped. I get mine directly from Cobb which will have stage 1 & 2 91oct. or 93 oct.
You just need to remeber that when you do this, you are not getting the full benifit on the stg2 maps. There are other paramters that the stg2 maps change that don't get upgraded when you flash the real time maps. Russ
