Well today I saw my first Arial Atom in Mn and even better, at a track event and on top of that I got to ride in one. So just curious have you ever seen one of these in person, or had an opportunity ride in one. So this weekend I thought another nice weekend training with the BMW boyz. Never knowing what types of cars will show up, example last time a Noble and today a Arial Atom, yeah just like the one on 5th Gear. =

Details-Insanely fast, accelleration is like a croach rocket.
Corners-Like a Go-Kart, goes everywhere you point it.
    Stops-On a dime, I mean it.
    Body roll-Almost none existant.
    Weight-+1000lb
G-Load-Push's you into the seat, good thing the seat kept me in.

I'll was an eye opening experience, here I was impressing my AWD students with my Subaru and its abilities, after hoping out its easily way above my class, on top of that I even made an attempt to catch it without avail, my scooby experiencing understeer while I watch the Atom fly thru the next few corners.

Oh yeah and I also got to ride in a brand new M6 w/carbon fiber roof top. That thing is a hoot, for as big as it is it can corner like you won't believe; beautiful car with some very nice details. I am not much of a BMW fan but I do like this one. So that was the highlight of my weekend.

Here are some details of the Arial Atom, enjoy!

This one did not have the root supercharger, but it was plenty fast. K20 Honda Civic type R with tranny. The Vtec is insane, especially with the intake sitting right next to your head. Boong. Not sure which one has the supercharger, but it would be considered STUPID FAST in my book. LOL

Its a pretty sweet "car." Imagine building something similar without needing to adhear to road legalities. See "Formula SAE". Then put an unrestricted literbike motor in it.:slayer:

There's a bunch of different engine choices. You can get Chevy or Honda engines in several different power levels. Some supercharged, some not.

What exactly makes it a crappy motor in your eyes? Other than the fact it isn't wearing a Honda/Acura badge.

low revs in a car thats supposed to feel like and f1 car. it would be like driving a diesel, it might go like hell, but at the cost of a bunch of driving excitment. not to mention i dont think the chevy tranny could hold a candle to a honda tranny.

^ meh its just a bummer the that there is no longer the option in the US to have the motor the atom was engineered to have. atleast not directly through brammo.
