Wood ticks are out in full force right now. I plucked one off my dog this morning after waking up at 5am with one on me. Now I feel like they are all over me. :ugh:

Bust out the Frontline if you haven't already.

    Thanks for the heads up.

Does any one have any hook ups or know anyone that does good dog training? My pitbull chewed out of 2 crates, 1 plastic, 1 metal bar. I bought her a real Bear cage and she broke through that this weekend. :eek3: I need like the dog whisperer before she plows through a wall or something

    +1 for this.
I've lived in my place for 3 years now and up until this year we have not seen any tics. My wife absolutely freaks out if she see's them and we've found quite a few on the dogs and in the house this year. She ordered some kind of yard spray I guess I'll have to put down soon.

I'll vouch for this as well, I was at the cabin this weekend and walked in the woods for a bit and had a few on me and the dog. No deer ticks, YET at least.

This reminds me of the story I heard on KQ where the little girl walks into the kitchen after playing outside and she's chewing on something. Her mother asked her what she was eating and she said "Raisins off the dog", it turns out Spot had a few wood ticks.

I'm going to go throw up again. :puke:

I will tell you what. I had mine in a metal bar cage as well and there is no stopping him! He ripped it appart like it was plastic! I found that giving him a bid ass bone to chew on well he's in there helps big time! I will take pic's when I get time! You will be like WTF! And what's a good repellent for the ticks? He's alot bigger now (last summer he was like 3mo old) and loves the woods!
