i've heard to slam on your brakes and rev your engine up, then dump your brakes! other than that, i'm kinda clueless on automatics. the last automatic i got to launch was a 1971 cobra ah-1s... if you don't know what a cobra ah-1s is, it's got an awesome TURBINE engine... meaning the engine is a huge turbo!

Hold your e-brake up, but keep the locking button depressed. Rev your engine to 3500-4000 rpms, drop the e-brake handle and go. Make sure you keep the button depressed until you set the e-brake all the way down, or you will botch the launch.

i dont think he has a stall converter, so he cant rev to 4K...i say foot on the brake, foot on the gas, enough gas to take up the "slack" in the tranny, just so its up to the stall speed, green light, floor it!

I would strongly urge you not to just slam on the gas. Put the car into neutral and rev the engine. Press the brake pedal as you rev the engine and that will allow for the lock up. Seeing as you dont have a high stall TC or Big ol turbo your holding back I dont think you need to hold the e-brake. Once you have revved the engine and pressed the brake in as far as it will go while in neutral pop the car into D while brake is depressed still. Rev the engine, hold the brake and watch the RPMS build. I think for you will only get till around 2500 or 2700. Either way works but this way will be a lot let stress on building up the pressure as well as easier on the brakes. try both though and see what you like.

Ok, here is what I have to do, but remember, i am spinninga 18g turbo and have a high stall tc and vb so my setup is a bit different. I start by stepping on the brake (hard) and shifting into neutral and reving the motor to 4-4500 rpm. Once you let of the gas you will feel the brake pedal drop a little bit farther (vacume lock). Once the brakes are locked DO NOT let off of the brake. Shift into d or 3, and strt stepping on the gas. I can get to about 3500 and 15psi before I start to overpower the brakes, so I know my limit. Once you hit the limit, let off of the brake and mash the gas to the floor (if it isn't already there), and smoke all 4 tires.

I wouldn't worry about the e-brake to much. I don't think you have the power to over power the regular brakes. In my car, the e-brake does me almost no go unless I am using the other brakes.
