How hard is it in say, a subaru impreza wagon? I'm a honda person and know jack about subaru's at this point. I want to buy an old automatic impreza wagon and swap in a JDM sti motor and tranny... is that doable? Anyone on here ever done it?
He told me that he got an entire front clip including some other key bits. Im sure he wouldn't mind telling you what he got I just remember it had a couple of rather hard to find bits when he bought the front clip to do the swap.
yeah that was me,it is a pretty easy job on the older cars GC bodystyle(mine is a 95) i kept mine simple and put in a cable clutch setup, if you do the hydraulic clutch it takes a bit more work, some drilling may be required for mounting the pedals, on a cable setup the clutch pedal mounts right where the auto brake pedal goes. other than that you need a different tranny crossmember, i custom made mine but you can buy them, they are a H design for the older cars. and you will need diff axles, driveshaft and rear diff. any more quetions feel free to ask.
