Is there any change in the tone of the instrument when using those things? I would've guessed a CF reed would sound weird, since it's got very little internal damping...
surprising enough, they almost enhance the tone. as the hollow body is made of cane and other fibers that absorb the extra wetness that the reed would normally take... so it evens itself out. I just havn't built up the pressure it takes yet to tap into the chanter... lung power like woa.
