That gorgeous WHITE 08 sti on our lot got its wheels stolen (gold BBS) over the weekend. Let me know if you guys see anything.
Liar. I bet you've got a Craigslist ad up right now That really sucks guys. I hope you find whoever did it. Reminds me of a couple times that happened in BP. The best was when Brooklyn Park PD showed up and asked if we were missing a Buick. The used car manager looked through the records and sure enough, we were missing one. Turns out it had been used in a robbery/homicide about a week or so earlier. Oops.
Yeah, I wouldn't think rolling into the dealer's lot and removing some wheels from one of their best cars is a great way to get away with said crime .......... ..... but .... I could be wrong. lolz.
So whats the scoop on the STi? Did the stealership just order new wheels for it? Will there be a discount on the car now? I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for the wheels, I'm sure that they'll turn up soon.
Minnetonka. That is crazy! Those people must be mad to the wheels of a car that is parked where that one was. It was front and center.
Wow they must have been really stupid to try that on a car parked right there. I just drooled over that on friday.
Worst part was, whoever the spineless *** was, they just left the car on the ground... No blocks, no 2x4's, no nothing... just set it on the ground.
+1 to this. I figured there would be video cameras covering the whole lot, just in case something like this would happen.
scissors jack on the frame rail through the wheel well......yes, I have dropped a subaru on the ground those bastards, they should have at least brought some jack stands along
We had enough room to lift it up under the rear diff, and then get two wheels on the rear. From there we got on the pinch weld, and got the front end up. Either way, whoever did this is a worthless steaming pile of you-know-what. I hope that you attempt to sell them, and get caught.
On a related note, how did the thieves get the jack out from under the car, to leave it on the ground in the first place....? n/m I guess driftin240's scenario works in reverse. It would take some planning though.
thats nuts! thieves are moving out our way!! lets find them and give them what they deserve. and woudnt setting (dropping) it on the ground like that mess the rotors? cuz idk how would you get a jack out from under there like that?
I'm hoping these worthless idiots stole them with the intention of putting them on their 225,xxx mile POS '02 salvaged WRX (with an intake and bov, of course).
Actually they lifted it up on the pinch weld, and then once they got the wheel off, they used the jack on the wheel studs (and roughed 'em up). That way the jack comes out before the car is all the way down (used 2 jacks). Not that I am telling you all to go out and try this to get yourself a new set of wheels....but that's how these worthless turds did it...
It isnt that hard to steal wheels. Trust me I know yes I have been with people that stole wheels before (this was last summer and they got busted). See when you go to steal wheels you dont care about the car you just want what you went there for. and the reason why they didnt put the car on anything is because either..... 1. they have been booked for jail before so they dont want to leave finger prints..... 2. they were just to lazy.
For a little bit. I am going to be signing up for the coast guard soon. I will probably be gone for some of the summer.
