so when my car is sitting and it is turned off there is a faint beeeeeeeeeeep that remains constant coming from the engine bay. When the battery is removed this goes away.

It sounds like it is coming from the remote entry module that plays the beep when the car is locked or unlocked.

Has anyone else had this problem and how was it fixed? Thanks.

IF there is a siren it might be a bad ground to the siren! it sometimes happens with aftermarket ones. but idk just a thought
