So this morning I somehow ended up with my phone in the dog water dish.... It was in ther for like under 2 sec.
I got it out and used the blow dryer on it and it turns on and the ringer works and functions for the most part. The problem is the buttons (and the important ones at that....) don't work correctly.....

Dose anyone have an secrets on how to reserect the blackberry, or am i just pwnd:(

you could remove the battery, take it all apart and make sure everything under the pad is completely dry and there are no shorts.

Get a ziplock, put phone in it, and fill with minute rice. Let sit for 10 hours or so, and the moisture should be gone from inside.

    Probably west of you.
take out the battery and put it in a bag of dry rice. Rice pulls out the moisture.

Inside the cover next to the memory slot there is a little white sticker. Not more than the size of a sharpie marker dot. That changes color when it is exposed to water. They will ask what color that is (if it is a warranty claim). FYI, it should be white. They got smart.

By "FRIEND" you mean you, right?

Yes, the rice thing works. I have heard put the bag of rice + phone somewhere warm. Speeds up the process I think?

coming from experience...working at the hell that is a t-mobile store, I would say about 90 percent of water damaged phones never end up working the same again--especially one as advanced as a blackberry. they might still turn on and do all of that, but they end up doing weird stuff in the long run. check that sticker though, if it is still white, you might be in better shape.
