block casting identification

    does anyone know the casting numbers on a ej22 block to designate the n/a block vs the turbo block?? my brother found one in wisconsin and i was trying to find out which one it is...
    if anyone knows i'd appreciate the help

    Everything that is posted in the "tech, tips, newb" forum is moderated. I'd rather give the others a chance to answer your question quickly than wait for the mods to approve the posts :)

    An EJ22T block will have a cross-hatch pattern on it.

    piddster - a second gracias goes to you... that'll make it alot easier then checking casting numbers

    lee - i dunno yet.... or maybe i do... just weighing my options and throwing around different ideas... obviously looking for more power, but on a budget and debating on doing more of the norm or something less common

    Just a little heads up. The stock 22T shortblock can handle about 350-400hp. The factory rods that come in them are weak compared to today's standard.

    they are pretty stout blocks, more and more seem to be going to them
