Anyone tried one of these bluetooth OBDII scanners? I just ordered the "Auto ELM327 V1.5 Interface Bluetooth OBD 2 OBD-II Car Diagnostic Auto Scanner" from eBay for less than $10. It's not iPhone compatible but it looks like it's compatible with several Android apps. I'm wondering if it would be useful to buy a cheap 7" tablet and mount it on my dash for gauge duties and maybe a little Pandora streaming. eBay link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310678002251&ssPageName=ADME:L:OU:US:3160 Amazon link http://www.amazon.com/ELM327-Bluetooth-Diagnostic-Interface-Scanner/dp/B008BFEOJY
I have a Kiwi Bluetooth I picked up from Curry here. Came with a copy of Dash Commander. Pretty cool and makes resetting the occasional CEL very easy.
I use a go point bt1 with dash command. works pretty good but there is a little delay. using it with appraddio is definitely a plus.
Now I just need an OBD port splitter... 1 for radar detector, 1 for Cobb AP, and 1 for Bluetooth Scanner!
I'm gonna bump this up because I am having an intermittent issue and I am wondering if any of these devices have a data capture feature like some of the professional devices do. With all of the tech guys around here I have to believe a few of you use these things and I am hoping someone has some experience with an iPhone compatible product, or can at least point me to some specific brand names. Thanks.
