I am trying to decide which book(s) to pick up next on tuning. So I am posting a question on what books do people believe are the best. Maybe some one wants to start one on car control.

    1) Beginner
    2) Middle
    3) Advanced
    4) Matt Russ stage

[Mods] re-locate if you think this should be in off-topic

I am going to start compiling them here, I HAVE NOT READ THEM ALL. IF YOU WANT STATUS CHANGED PIPE UP BELOW.

my buddy has one at his shop titled You and your Subaru Impreza Turbo. it gives a very basic overview of what the diferent impreza are and some neat facts about them. it makes for a good begining point for understanding subarus.

i have seen books out there (i forgot which company / website) but they are about intensively tuning subarus.

check out subiesport if you havent they have some good info in there.

hope this is the info your looking for.

The book I started learning to tune with was "How to tune and modify engine management systems" by Jeff Hartman. It's about 270 pages and it's BIG, Like the size of a 5 subject notebook. It has tons of color pictures and tons of info. I hope this helped, I don't know of any books for teaching you how to drive better, sorry.

for driving skills ive heard the speed secrets series of books is good, written by ross bentley, i think there is 3 of them. i havent read any of them, plan on it someday. but i have heard they are good stuff. i dont know of any tuning books though, might wanna go to barnes and nobles or somthin and just look around the automotive section, you'd be amazed with some of the books they carry in those places.

You can't beat Corky Bell's book on turbochargers. I think it's called Maximum Boost or something. I've got a copy of that around here somewhere. It'll teach you more than you'll ever want to know about turbochargers (and a little about superchargers).
