Well I just got my bank statement and it seems that I had a bit more than I thought I did so I am gonna go ahead and pick up a couple of parts but I got a question for those of you that one. I am looking into picking up a boost controller so that when I get my new actuator with the heavier spring I can run higher amounts of boost easier and have more control over my set up. From the research I have had time to do it seems that Profec B Spec 2 Boost Controller seems to be quite the popular controller on nasioc but I wanted to see what the locals were usin. So basically my question is what are you guys controlling your boost with? Also please say where you got it from and for how much?

Stock boost control system with a tightened WG actuator arm and a reflash. Currently running 18 psi on the stock td04, but am going to try some different things at 17 psi in the next couple of days.

I am considering upgrading the stock BCS in favor of a GM unit or similar 3-port like the Prodrive or Perrin.

Well i know the stock system can already take 18psi because that is what I am running but I want to do more once I get my new actuator so I figured I should step it up past the stock system. Also, what exactly is the deal with the GM solenoid? I have tried to do research about it but I can't ever pull anything up

I am running the gm solenoid and I am running it at 22psi (ap/utec) and 24 on my gauge.

One word of caution: If you upgrade the stock BCS in favor of something like the GM unit, you WILL need a new tune. The WGDC map will need to be reduced by at least 30-40%, otherwise you'll boost spike like crazy and go boom.

Yeah I understand I would need a retune and thankfully I am living in chicago for the school year so it shouldn't be too big of a problem. I will get this ordered up then and see how this does with my AP and heavier actuator spring. Hopefully jeorge and P&L will be able to get me in pretty quickly once I get the parts

I know...it sounded like he was gonna be hook me up pretty good for a rotated set up and I would love it but what about internals...wouldn't I need to do all that as well? I dont wanna open the engine up quite yet
