should I PORT my VF39, or should I go EWG??? I needs to stay far from boost creep with my little EJ22T-that-could. I have the STi pill in the hose so it should help as well.

Save me $300 and port, or spend $300 and gain some 20whp after tune!

How much boost are you planning on running and do you have enough internal's to support the added power? I'd say P&P yourself, and spend the $300 on something else to enhance driviability, like good tires, lightened flywheel, pistons, you get the point. Power wont guarentee great performance on the track.

I won't do ewg unless I was making some monster power +500hp, but thats just me. You're probably making something in that neighborhood by now.

No offense, but I'd like to see more pictures of Fuji at the track as oppose to the garage with rice bowls w/red peppers for lunch.

wouldnt that yield some pretty low CRs like maybe 7:1 is with wrx heads? why so worried about boost creep, you could prolly push 40psi at a 7:1 cr and be fine.

yeah, those big port WRX heads... i dont remember what head gaskets he said he is running either... low as sin CR tho, i dont really see what he is worried about, maybe fuel delivery?

I'm running 97-98 EJ22E HG. They are the same 3-layer gaskets like the OEM WRX ones. The pistons come REALLY CLOSE to the TOP of the HG. They are a PERFECT FIT and should work well. The CR should be just sub 8's. I have to look at the WRX pistons and the EJ22T pistons to see which has more volume in the dish.

I'm just worried about boost creep because of the amount of air moving through because of TGV deletes and ported heads.

my uppipe is designed to mate with the header. I'd have to have the uppipe modded or another one made to run an EWG. I can't run any uppipes made to bolt onto the stock headers.

I thinks I can drive the car..... hahaha it's gonna be limping though...lolz
