So I've just installed a Snow Meth Injection kit with the Safe injection module. The module is placed in line with the meth just before the nozzle. If it senses no flow, then it sends a 12v signal to a relay that I'm trying to setup to interrupt the BCS, relieving boost pressure and saving the engine in case of meth injection failure under load. I can't quite get it to all work out though. I have verified that the safe injection module is sending the 12v signal when there is no meth flow. I'm not sure I setup the relay properly. The relay looks like this... - [ - ] - So for connecting it, I wired the 12v signal to one side of the coil leads, and I grounded the other coil side. I split one of the BCS wires and wired it to the bottom vertical lead, and the other to the normally closed lead above it. I randomly selected one of the wires that goes to the BCS to interrupt with the relay. I figured either one would do it. Though when I've disconnected that wire to test, I find that I can still build about 10 psi of boost. How is it possible that I could build boost with one of the BCS wires disconnected? What say you wise subaru club?
well, it's a little hard to have this work correctly. you could do it where the relay closes a soliniod that then forces you to run wastegate boost. let me look at something here. an idea. the part that you need to look at is in orange.
