I really like the sound of the Borla exhaust for the WRX.

I notice they have two choices: a twin tip and a large single tip exhaust.
Which one do you think is better for better flow, looks, sound. I read that the twin tip has more opening diameter than the single large tip exhaust. Does this mean that it has better flow?

twin tips need to be larger in total to equal the same flow as a single.

the think i don't like about mine is the lack or a resonator.
with EL headers the drone at 65 mph is pretty bad.

i'm trying to find something right now that is 3" throughout, with a flex joint, and a resonator.

You should talk to Speedemon. I think he has that but it does not fit correctly in the stock bumper cut out. I am not 100% sure that is the one he has but you might want to check with him just in case.

you should really think about the perrin twintip exhaust. Mine sounds really nice and not over loud.

No offense to anyone with single tips, but personaly, I think the twin tips look alot better. I had the bosal 3" cat back with the twin tips, never had bad feedback on it. Full 3" catback is under $500, and Bosal makes Subaru SPT exhaust, so the quality is there.

twin tips keep the cops away a bit more than a grapefruit shooter.

I had the borla Single tip on my WRX. I loved the look. Looked like the OEM STi or newer WRX exhaust tips. It was beefy looking but not overdone.

I have the borla hush 3" cat-back and I love it...the sound is great, its not to loud but when you get on it its great and it looks good on the car(Stockish). only problem is its a bit off to the left for the stock bumper but only by 2-3 inches so its not a big deal...I just think mines like that because I don’t have the rings to hold the hangers in place so mine moves...but other wise if you want to hear it or go for a ride or something I might be at firestone this Friday and I can take you down the road.

    just for info,
the perrin now has a flex joint.
hard to find on a 3" catback.

to do a flat 3" flange on the borla you need to buy a $50 pipe from daddyssp.

damn i just talked myself into another catback...

I have the Borla single tip, everyone asks if I put the sti exhaust on it. Sounds great to me, have no complaints.

Did you check out daddy's whisper quiet?? That IMHO sounds like it would be the nicest exhaust out there, but since I got such a good deal on my exhaust from wrxspeed, I think I'm going to run this single tip borla for a long time :)

    i looked at it.
all of rich's midpipes, including the whisper, bottleneck down to 2.5 at the muffler.

The SPT single tip cat back is very nice and the tip isn't a grapefruit shooter, so the cops aren't attracted to it so much. It has very nice sound, and it's a 3" stainless cat-back. We have one or two here at Mtka Subaru. $452.63 w/tax

hmm, i was actually planning on having them add this to the car if i bought a new one. It is 3" at the inlet or is it 2.5? If it's 3" then i'm sold since it looks uberstock.

i do believe the spt catback, uses a 2.5" oem style doughnut connection.

How's that treating you BTW? I'm glad you're still going strong with it.

Perfect, Nathan mated it up a little better, really I should probably get the part from maddad to mate it up perfectly, but it doesn't leak, so that's good enough for me now, I added 2 kartboy long hangers, and it's about perfect, the hitch does mess things up, but I can deal with it. Still sounds great. :)

so the spt catback magicly transfigures the oem downpipe into a 3" flat flange?

    that's quite amazing!
