when I've seen them in action I haven't noticed any movement in the shock tower, it's pretty thick and I'd imagine (just guessing) the bolts would snap before the shcok tower woud move.
I'll start checking on a group buy. I already asked josh at importimageonline and he can't get discounts on cusco.:emo:
http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29046 This was my first clue as to his location.
yep it is on chad's agenda. He is finishing up two products this week then should be able to get started on it after that. Justin
no problem Dave. Its hard to tell until he can really dig into it. Unfortunately product development from the ground up does take some time. First we need to draw one up in CAD then we need to quote it out at a bunch of our preferred machine shops then order up 1 prototype from them which usually takes machine shops ~3-4 weeks. Then once we get the prototype in we need to do field testing, then once it passes that we can place the order for a bunch of them which will then take ~4 weeks to get produced. if anyone locally has some pull at a machine shop and could sneek our prototype/order in and get it done sooner that would dramatically decrease the product development phase. Justin
Justin I got your messege. I will be talking to my unclue Wednesday 11/19 sometime to see what his turn around is in a few weeks when the designs are done. I will send him some pictures of the mentioned design on here so he has a rough idea of what he would be machining. Thanks Dave
oh damn, it is the 5th already, huh... Well, you know how these GB things go. PM them for extras... regular price still beats the cusco price.
I got mine and installed it this last weekend. The install on my 06 WRX was a PITA, as I had to remove the air pump, but it still only took about an hour. Impressions: At 0-50% breaking, the pedal feel is about the same At 50-75% breaking, the pedal feel is noticeably stiffer and easier to modulate At 75-100% breaking, the pedal feel is much much better There is most certainly less play in the pedal at higher breaking, and the amount of control when breaking "medium" to "hard" has very noticeably improved. I would liken it to feeling a difference in "turn in" when putting on tires with stiffer sidewalls. In the case of this mod, driver break pedal inputs seem to make the car react much more quickly and predictably.
When did you get yours sent out Nate? I ordered mine the same day and I still have yet to get it. Ahh its not coming to this house ...
I placed my order and sent money on the day I last posted in this thread (looks like the 6th), and it arrived via USPS/Canada mail last Wednesday. EDIT: I should also note that the quality on this piece was very good. The welds were clean, and the design fit my car like a glove. Good item for a good price .
New GB for those that missed it last time. Pricing has hit $65 already. Ends 3/4 http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1701467 Any pics, Nate?
Nope, unless you want some of it installed and buried by the airpump. It looked exactly like the one posted in that thread. A simple part, but great quality none-the-less.
No way! Competition is good... like with the fender braces. Just make it cheaper These are selling like crazy on nasioc.
