    I need front brakes, bad.

I just had this problem with my miata. $290 later, I had nice rotors, hawk pads, and stainless lines.

This is proving to not be the case with my WRX.

    2002 WRX wagon.

All I want is some ok aftermarket rotors, and hawk pads.

Unless I'm doing it wrong, I can't find crap.

RallySport direct wants like $200 each for a rotor. I got a nice set of Centric brand rotors for my Miata for $90.

I know it's sort of not fair to compare, but we are talking about an Impreza here, not an M3 or something.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I want something a little better than stock. Don't care about slotted or anything like that.

Another good option is the frozen rotors

I looked into those. A bit pricey. A co-worker of mine can get deals though, I'm going to drop him a line tomorrow.

Uh... Are you failing at the internet?

Rotors: www.Rockauto.com Raybestos are pretty darn cheap. Rock Auto is one of the better places on the internet selling oem parts and replacement part for car.

Pads: Hawk or any other brand, many places. Just Google it.

    Just to make sure:
    http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/suspension-wheels/131703-wrx-brake-pad-differences.html

Know which ones you need on that car. It should be the older D721 and D770. Just verify. And yes, you can fit any pad that's of those designated shapes, doesn't matter if it's labeled for a Subaru or not, Impreza or not. All you really care about is the shape. You likely use a D721 front and D770 rear, just like pretty much all the Subarus prior to 2003. You don't have to worry about finding a brake pad for a 2002 WRX. You're just looking for a D721 pad and a D770 pad. As far as purchasing, the Hawk HPS for example can be had at www.Topbrakes.com or www.eBay.com and 50 other places that Google will happily point you to. Just keep an eye on price + shipping when you're trying to find the best deal.

    Thanks for the info everyone.

My google-fu was pretty weak last night. I kept coming up with sketchy websites that all kinda looked the same...

(we run these on the rally car and we run them hard. hawk dtc30 pads. I do run a DBA 4000 rotors on the rear though, because I need a special size for the 2 pot R180 combo)

Now those rotors sound like a winner.

I'll hit NAPA on the way home tonight.
